Lesser Celandine Paper Piecing Pattern 15 x 15 cm In spring, the joyfully dotted carpets of Lesser Celandine are a garden delight and also found in the wild. The radiant yellow flowers are dancing above a rich green cushion of heart-shaped leaves. A star shaped flower requires 7 segments and 46 parts, but I think it is worth the effort!
The individual flower has eight to eleven brilliantly yellow petals. The stamens and punches are hard to see as they are just as yellow as the petals. Use embroidery or beading to enhance the center. The block fits in the Blue flowers: Chicory Paper Piecing Pattern 20 x 20 cm
There are more blue flowers among my Patterns; i.e. the Blue flowers: Bell Flower Paper Piecing Pattern 20 x 40 cm
Blue flowers: Wood Squill Paper Piecing Pattern 15 x 15 cm The search for the blue flower ended: Here comes a delicate blue spring messenger.
Anemone nemorosa Paper Piecing Pattern 15 x 15 cm
Seven delicate pedals sit on a round stem, countless yellow stamen: that is the anemone. Pick this dainty flower for your quiltgarden A set of twins is pretty too. Check out the images in the The block fit in the Jubilee Rose Paper Piecing Pattern

The embroidery "May" is included in the pattern. Tete-a-Tete Paper Piecing Pattern Spring - to me it is represented by the little Tete-a-Tete narcissus you can place on your window sill. There they are producing their delicious blooms for a long time. The fresh green and yellow enliven my mind after long grey winter days. As this block is fairly large compared with my usual block size I decided to divide the background for use with various sky fabrics.
You may also sew a plain background with fewer seams; this variation is included in the pattern. |
